5.0 out of 5 stars Great chair!, January 10, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
This review is from: Evenflo Modern High Chair, Black (Baby Product)
I must admit, this is my very first time writing a review. But because there are almost no reviews on this chair at all, I really wanted to help other parents make a decision. I researched high chairs for months! I had no budget whatsoever, and just wanted the perfect chair. I literally read every review on every possible chair and seen every video on each chair. I'm not sure why it's so hard to make a chair with all the necessary details, but for whatever reason, I couldn't find what I was looking for. Here's what I needed in a chair: easy to clean, adjustable height, several recline positions, t-bar attached to the chair (not the tray), a tray that comes close to the baby (preferably adjustable), wheels for easy mobility, fold for easy storage, not too large of a footprint, and not an eyesore. This chair has EVERYTHING!!

Overall, the chair is great!! It has all the details I was looking for, and looks great in my kitchen! Plus it has a handy little towel rack in... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars A good affordable chair, April 12, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
This review is from: Evenflo Modern High Chair, Black (Baby Product)
This is my first review, but since the information on this chair is thin, I thought it could be helpful.

This is an excellent, nice looking highchair. It's got all of the safety elements that I wanted - 5 point harness, leg bar attached to the seat (not the tray), easy tray with a dishwashable insert. It reclines and folds. It's incredibly easy to clean.

This is not the kind of chair that will grow with the kiddo - probably has a practical life from baby's 4th month- 2nd year. But I think I will want my child in a real seat as soon as reasonable (with a booster?). I can't say for sure since I am on baby number one. Also, it feels pretty cheap, but so do most other chairs under $150.

Overall, this chair has a nice mix of features for a good price - and it doesn't look like an amusement park barfed in your kitchen.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very nice Highchair, January 2, 2012
This review is from: Evenflo Modern High Chair, Black (Baby Product)
I took a chance on buying this highchair despite there being very few reviews online, since it was brand new. I really like it, Ill review it in point form as Pros and Cons

Pros:
Very clean and modern looking: this one is all black, silver and white. the legs are thin and the lines are smooth and modern. the Removable tray even hooks onto the rear legs when not in use, so it doesn't have to clutter up your kitchen
Extremely easy too clean: the cushion is made from foam with no cloth material at all, so you can just wipe it down on the spot
Tons of ajustability: easy to adjust the height, recline and tray position
Easy to assemble. The first time took me 10 minutes, the second 5.

Cons:
Very plasticy: I guess most highchairs are like this, to keep the cost and weight down. but all the plastic does make it a touch wobbly. Its sturdy enough that Im not at all worried, but I just dont know if this will last through several kids over many years

5.0 out of 5 stars Baby loves it and I love it!, June 17, 2010
By
D. W. Johnson "dcladylaw" (Ft. Washington, MD USA) - See all my reviews
Great high chair. Love the modern design for my modern home. The base sticks far out which may not work for small kitchens but if that helps make it stable fine by me. It has 3 levels of recline which is nice though not sure if I will be using it. My 5 month old seems secure in the harness. I like that the top part of the table snaps off so it can be washed separately or thrown in dishwasher. It was easy to put together...took me about 15 minutes. You basically just snap 3 large pieces together. FYI the directions are only photos no words.

3.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful Highchair for (Small) Babies, December 13, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
This review is from: phil&teds Highpod Highchair, Black (Baby Product)
I received the Highpod yesterday and set it up immediately. I adored everything about it, but after putting my 7 1/2 month old daughter in it and inspecting everything closely, I reluctantly decided that I was going to return it.
My daughter is small for her age - in the 20th percentile at 16.5 lbs, and she fit comfortably in the highpod and really seemed to enjoy it. However, there was VERY LITTLE growing room between the back of the seat where her butt was and the crotch post attached to the tray. I would say she could have used it for a few months before the tray would become useless because the crotchpost would be uncomfortably tight against her.
Now, you can remove the tray easily and use the chair without the tray/crotchpost. It will fit very snugly against almost any table because of the unique design of the base and the multiple height positions, so if you don't mind going without the tray after the baby is around 12 months, than I highly recommend this highchair... 5.0 out of 5 stars Love this highchair!, March 18, 2013
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
This review is from: phil&teds Highpod Highchair, Black (Baby Product)
I am very happy with this highchair. I did a lot of research before deciding this was the one for my 11 month old. First off it is incredibly easy to set up and impressively modern looking. You love it as soon as you open the box. Having used it several times a day for the last several months I'm just as pleased. Easy to clean and comfy for my boy. He is started to almost exclusively self feed so the tray could be a little bit bigger and have a cup holder. That would be my only minor complaint if I had to say.

5.0 out of 5 stars love the nano, January 10, 2008

This review is from: Bloom Nano Urban High Chair, White Frame With Seat Pad Coconut White (Baby Product)
I cannot help but completely disagree with the other reviewer. We bought the nano at giggle in the chocolate color and it looks so at home in our apartment. we had a peg perego plastic-fantastic for our first child and i can tell you that the base is much wider than nano, besides nano folds completely flat - something that no other highchair i know of can.

We had no trouble with the tray - the 3 sliding positions worked great and the fact that you can throw it in the dishwasher is a real bonus.

anyway, we love the nano and at $180 with such a cool, modern design we definitely would recommend it to anyone!

1.0 out of 5 stars Do not buy this chair!, December 6, 2007
This review is from: Bloom Nano Urban High Chair, White Frame With Seat Pad Coconut White (Baby Product)
I hate to do this but.... do not buy this chair! We got it and have been so disappointed in it - it just isn't designed for practical use - the main problem is that the seat back is in no way supportive at all and in fact babies of all ages can only slouch in it. Its not just our son (who has been using it from 5 months to 8 month) but we tested it out on older infants too and got the same problem. I have still been using it whilst waiting for our new chair but our nanny refuses to - she has worked in the industry many years and says she has never seen such a useless chair!
It looks ok in real life - though I thought the white color was more cream than anything, and of course it folds down to very slim - but what is the point in having a chair that encourages bad posture - honestly its very difficult for them to pull them selves forward to the table - Oh and another thing the table slants towards the seat so things don't sit on it straight - why sell something based on being a... 2.0 out of 5 stars Looks good, but totally impractical, January 3, 2008
By
This review is from: Bloom Nano Urban High Chair, White Frame With Seat Pad Coconut White (Baby Product)
I bought this chair because I like that it folds down, and because it was attractive. Unfortunately, these are the only 2 good things about it.

When open, the base of the chair is HUGE. Since we bought it for a small kitchen, this is a pain. The base is so much wider than the chair that we always trip over it when it's open.

If you let a speck of food dry on it, good luck getting it out of all the attractive little seams on the arm holders. And good luck cleaning the wet food out of the little seams, too! The fake leather material does spot clean nicely, which is a plus. However, the fabric trim does not. And you can't put it in the washing machine!

It's also very hard to get the tray on and off: it requires at least three hands.

I also agree with the other reviewer that the baby can't really sit up in it.

I gave it two stars because it does look good. I wish more chairs didn't have cartoon characters on them, and I wish... Read more
