Compared to the 3 other brands we have at various family members homes this is by far the easiest to clean and use. The cleanup is so simple just wipedown the seat and pads after each feeding. No staining issues either so the straps must be coated with a resistant film.Overall very happy with this chair and would purchase again. Listen to me.This chair is the coolest looking baby chair out there. With the red seat cover/pad it matches the Saarinen Tulip Chairs in our kitchen perfectly. That is exactly where the awesome ends. I consider myself a neat-freak bordering on OCD. Call it a quirk. Call it a super power. Either way, it is IMPOSSIBLE to keep this chair clean. There are more nooks and crannies than you can possibly imagine. Even the screws that hold the thing together are recessed in DEEP narrow holes that suck up food and crumbs like a hungry Sarlac. You have to use a bottle brush and plenty of soap and water to break up and dissolve whatever falls in there (the holes are around two inches deep), and then vacuum it out with an attachment. This is just ONE of the "special" little places that hold food (well, four of the places, but just one *kind*). The shoulder straps collect food that cannot be washed out. Anything... It can be used as a cradle (without the table or footrest), as a high chair (as shown) or simply a chair without the table. It also kind of reminds me of a barber's chair in that it can be raised or lowered and recline in three different positions. It did take a while to assemble as the instruction manual only had pictures with no words (kind of building a lego set), but you can watch a video here [...]. I would also warn people not to buy this chair with the old seat liners ( Bloom Fresco Contemporary Baby Chair, Seat Pad With Harness Set (Large+Small Pads) Coconut White (Leatherette). Although Amazon recommends the two, they are NOT compatible. |
