The Joovy Nook is amazing. First of all, it looks fantastic. It has clean lines and is unobtrusive in my kitchen. It wipes down easily and on occasion you can take the entire seat cover off and put it in the washer and dryer. A leatherette, really. The tapestry fabric in Orangie and Greenie are also washable. It folds completely flat with one hand. Many high chairs fold, but I have never seen one that folds this flat, this easily. The swing open tray is awesome. In the past, that was always a huge problem for parents, where to put the tray. Many high chairs claim to have places to store the tray but it is always a cumbersome project to get the tray stowed away.

It folds up tightly so you can put it against a wall or in a small space which is very important in our smaller home. It is bright, bright, bright orange! I love that, but others may not. It really is super light and folds up to the size of a beach chair. Very flat. We take it everywhere. It's got a very secure 5 point harness. I was worried about cleaning up the material but it cleans up very well! Even foods that would typically stain, like blueberries, wipe off easily. The cover can actually be removed, too, and put into the washing machine if you need to. But i haven't found the need to do that yet. Downsides include the fact that when you take the baby out of the highchair with the tray swung out to the side there is nothing holding him in once you unbuckle it. There's a safety piece on the swing out try that goes between the baby's legs, but it's not there when you swing the tray out. That being said, it's really easy to remove the baby without swinging the tray out. And that's because, yes, there is a HUGE gap between the strapped in baby and the tray... Super light, folds flat to store or travel, the leather fabric wipes clean very easily, no "nooks and cranys" for food to get stuck in.... My only complaint is that the tray can not slide closer to the baby.... Now that he can sit up well and lean forward it's not so much of an issue.... |
