Joovy Nook Highchair, Black Leatherette

Product Description

The Joovy Nook is amazing. First of all, it looks fantastic. It has clean lines and is unobtrusive in my kitchen. I was fearful that I would not be able to keep its beautiful white leatherette so white after strawberries and tomato sauce but tada it's still white. It wipes down easily and on occasion you can take the entire seat cover off and put it in the washer and dryer. A leatherette, really. The tapestry fabric in Orangie and Greenie are also washable. When I say unobtrusive, I mean it. It folds completely flat with one hand. Many high chairs fold, but I have never seen one that folds this flat, this easily. But the best thing about it is when my 18 month old walks over to it, swings the tray open and attempts to climb in. The swing open tray is awesome. In the past, that was always a HUGE problem for me, where to put the tray. Many high chairs claim to have places to store the tray but it is always a cumbersome project to get the tray stowed away. The Nook's swing open tray makes it easy to store the tray and to put your child in and out of the high chair when holding your child, you step on the front leg cross bar, press the button under the right side of the tray and swing it open, put him/her in. It is simple and easy, no more needing to remove the tray and find a spot to set it down. Plus, the tray has a removable tray on top that can be easily popped off and rinsed after a messy meal (it's dishwasher safe too). The top tray is a lifesaver, making food disappear before it makes the transition from eating to wearing, instantly leaving a clean tray for a book, toy or clean second course. This small feature can extend quality time at dinner time. The top and bottom tray are easily removed for cleaning as needed. In the daily grind of motherhood, it's the little things that are so great. It's so nice when a product performs and helps to simply your life.

2.0 out of 5 stars Stylish but gap between tray not functional, March 11, 2011
This review is from: Joovy Nook Highchair, Black Leatherette (Baby Product)
I love the way the chair looks and that is why I ordered it. But unfortunately the fact that you can't push the tray up close to your baby is a real disadvantage. My baby boy is big and was able to sit in a high chair at a few months old, but the large gap didn't create a secure enough fit. Now that he is 8 months there is still a large gap, and he is 24 lbs and very tall for his age. The gap means that more food ends up on the floor or in his lap, not to mention I have stabbed him in the eye, nose, cheek a few times with the spoon since the gap allows him to lunge towards the incoming spoon. If the tray was adjustable I would love this high chair. :(

4.0 out of 5 stars cute chair...good enough for the price...., January 9, 2011
This review is from: Joovy Nook Highchair, Black Leatherette (Baby Product)
so i really fell in love with the bloom chair when i was pregnant.......i was VERY close to buying it when my son was 3 months old.....thank god there was a baby bjorn babysitter in the store that i decided to get instead....holding off on buying a high chair until i really needed it.....

so at 11 months....it was time for a high chair.....baby was picking up finger foods great.....and i wanted a little more freedom...as his chair was my lap at the dinner table up until then.........when i went back to look at the bloom...i couldnt justify paying 400+ for a highchair.....not only that i realized the value in having EXTREMELY portable/fold-up-able baby gear...for our lifestyle........i however dreaded the search....because i refused to have one of those big clunky gerneric FP type highchairs.......function AS WELL AS design are very important to me.

thank goodness for the joovey NOOK......i searched it out online...and then my local buy buy baby had it for... Read more
